I got this as my primary source. This is a picture of a sign on a gate leading to where the Battle of Vicksburg took place.[Found on Google image].-JF Picture
For my picture I chose to get a map of how the union troops surrounded the confederates during the Battle at Vicksburg. [The union is blue and confederates are red].-JF Impotance
The Battle at Vicksburg is pretty important to the Civil war because of the fact that it was a win for the union. Since the union won the war which meant that slave would be freed, every win for the union got the confederates that much closer to surrendering. Also this war had many casualties on the side of the confederates who must have weekend there army and made for an easier defeat. Lastly this battle was significant because any time you have thousands of people being killed it isn’t good.-JF Work Cited
